Sarah: An Intimate Glimpse

This is our very first foray into boudoir photography, thanks to our gorgeous model and past bride, Sarah. We're not quite sure what to expect but capturing our gorgeous model made it easy for us. What was planned as a 1-hour shoot turned into a 3-hour session. Here are a few discreet favorites...

Sarah, it was definitely great to work with you again and hopefully do more portraits in the future! We hope Rick likes what our cameras saw!

August 2008 Bookings

We have truly been blessed on our first year in this business. We never thought we'd book as many weddings as we did this year and 2008 is pretty much beating our expectations! Thank you to everyone who's expressed their interest in our style of photography. You are proving to us that we made the right decision to pursue this art form and we only aim to improve our craft to the satisfaction of our clients.

To ensure that we don't find ourselves in a predicament of too much too soon, we are only booking a limited number of commissions for 2008. So far, we already reached our quota for August 2008 bookings and only a couple more spots available for May, June & July. Contact us to check our availability and we can setup an initial consultation to confirm whether we're a good fit to cover your wedding.

We're looking forward to meeting you!

Kimi "The Iceman" Wins

As some of you may know, I'm a big Formula 1 fan. After years of bad luck, Kimi Raikkonen finally wins his first Formula 1 championship. YAHOOOO!!!!

He came to the final race in San Paolo, Brazil with a slim chance of winning. He was 7 points behind Lewis "the rookie" Hamilton and 3 points behind Fernando "the 2-time champ" Alonso. But all cars aligned for him this time with a big help from his Brazilian teammate Felipe Massa right from the get go.

The race ended with Raikkonen 1st (10 pts), Alonso 3rd (6 pts) and Hamilton 7th (2 pts). The final driver standing showed one of the closest finishes ever:

Raikkonen 110
Hamilton 109
Alonso 109

Jeff, I hope you watched the race too!

Dave + Laura: Life is a Highway

We try our best to incorporate something unique about our clients into our images that tells us who they are. When we met Dave and Laura for their initial consult they rode up to our place on their Goldwing. Right away, we knew we had to have the bike on their engagement photos at least.

Scheduling the e-shoot was a challenge for us and Dave, Laura and the bike. Dry weekends are pretty much spent on their bikes riding up and down BC and Washington State. I tell ya, these guys are really living it up. We finally found the time to do them pics which worked out great coz we were able to try out new lighting techniques.

Let's start off with a cool pose with their bike...

We don't know if the bike will make an appearance on Dave and Laura's wedding but we hope they're happy with these images of their ride.

Dave + Laura Engaged!

While our very first wedding season has ended with our last wedding in August, we still have a couple of weddings to cover this year, last, but certainly not the least, of which is Dave and Laura's winter wedding at the Galbraith in December.

Dave and Laura are a couple so full of life. From the very first e-mail exchange, I couldn't help but feel Laura's excitement for everything and Dave, well, he's one very cool dude. So when we met them for their e-shoot, we knew we'll be in for a dose of fun, excitement and laughter.

Although there were major bursts of laughter that afternoon, we thought we'd show you our favorite cool and serious shots first.

Dave wouldn't let us go without a shot with Mr. Statue. =)

Laura led us to this small sanctuary with the afternoon sun casting a warm glow.

Even though BC is not well known for its fall colours, these two led us to where the colours are...

There's so much more to these two than meets the eye. Watch our blog for more about how these two are living the life!
