Colin + Amor *Just Married*

After a full day of wedding, we were up and at 'em again the next day to photograph Colin and Amor's big day. As expected, there was a flurry of activities at Amor's mum's house with excited chatter as the girls got ready. Rico went straight to photograph Colin and the guys then we later met them in Richmond for their ceremony at the Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church. After the ceremony, it was off to Gastown for some urban bridal party portraits and the celebration took place at Victoria Chinese Restaurant.

The Pronovias traje de novia (or what we call in Filipino as traje de boda)... very sexy and sultry...
Love the accents on Amor's shoes.
The dashing groom...
Lovely bride...
A candid shot just after making it official!
They are married!
On to portraits!

Gastown was a little busy that day with a vintage car show... the boys got a little distracted but we were able to take a few shots...
How about some shots at your local Starbucks?
Portraits at the Hyatt with Amor in her Chinese cheongsam and Colin in his barong tagalog.

Some reception highlights at Victoria Chinese Restaurant!
Yummy cake!

I've never seen the guys go after the garter with as much zeal as this group of men.
Time to party!

When Colin and Amor went up to do their speech, Colin's first words were "We have never felt so loved". We wish you will always feel loved. Your friends and family have truly expressed how happy they are in this union and the love that permeated through the whole event was palpable. Congratulations and we'll see you guys soon!

Yummy Mummy: Mandy's Maternity Portraits

We met Mandy and JB at Yasmin and Qumar's wedding. They contacted us shortly thereafter and at the time, Mandy was already due in a couple of weeks. They had caught us in our busiest time of the year so scheduling the Yummy Mummy portraits was quite a challenge, considering we had another to consider another person's schedule, the baby's. We finally settled with meeting on August 21st to do the shoot, a week short of her due date. I remember the forecast being rain on the 21st but clearing up for a really nice weekend. Fortunately, by that afternoon, the skies have definitely given way to the mid-summer sun and we had an awesome shoot.

We were definitely lucky as Mandy gave birth to their baby boy the next day! We're due to shoot the sweet guy's newborn session in a couple of weeks but in the meantime, here are our favorites from the maternity session...

Mandy and JB, congratulations. We can't wait to meet the little guy and photograph you again. See you in a few weeks!

Garry + Minette *Just Married*

Holy Rosary Catholic Church
Westwood Plateau

After a weekend of back-to-back weddings, we should've known better than to book another double header the following weekend. Looking back now, we're glad we still booked Garry and Minette's wedding even though we already had another wedding booked for the same weekend. We gained really good friends, friends who are deeply in love. And there's nothing more beautiful than to witness friends professing their love and commitment.

The beautiful bouquet ... I just love browns and pinks.
Preparing for the very special day ahead with help from mom.
Our portrait of the bride, Minette.
I love the hallways at L'Hermitage Vancouver!
Some dress detail...
The groom, Garry.
I love it when both Dad and Mum walk the bride down the aisle!
Another candid moment during the ceremony.
One of my favorite shots of the season...
More candid shots... after the bride had a different kind of shot in the limo! Hahaha!
This bridal party was SUPER fun and all game!
Moving on to Westwood Plateau
The groom serenaded the bride at the reception with a guitar.
While the bride surprised the groom with five (or was it more?) cakes... it was also Garry's birthday... Good job, Minette. Garry has no excuse for forgetting your wedding anniversary!
I think it was pretty evident who will catch the bouquet!
The couple's first dance to friends singing!

Garry and Minette we had awesome fun with you, your friends and your family. We're glad we were there to capture it. Hope Maui was great. Maybe next time we can capture you having fun at the beach, too! *wink* *wink*

We'll see you guys soon!
