Jason + Jan *Just Married*

This year has been an extremely blessed one for us. We had awesome clients, awesome learning experiences and great friendships forged throughout the process. If this is any indication of how next year is going to turn out, well, we just can't wait.

Jason and Jan's wedding is the great ending to this season. I remember Jan as the stress-free bride who breezed through the planning considering the time of their wedding - fall in Vancouver. But with how the day it turned out, it could have been any day in the peak of summer. The sun was glorious and everyone was in such high spirits.

It was cool to see a few familiar faces at this wedding. In fact, Jan was a bridesmaid at Cristina's wedding and now they've switched roles! It's really special to witness such strong friendships and the love and support that's truly evident on Jason and Jan's day.

The girls were up bright and early getting their hair and make-up done at Jan's aunt's salon...
But not too busy to check out Facebook!
A simple but elegant wedding dress.
Jan's dad loves miniature trains. He even has a working one in their backyard. We've asked one of the crew to hold up the rings for us... hold that pose! hold it, hold it!
Love the fall colours! I always thought Vancouver as an evergreen place, regardless of season, especially compared to the mid west. It wasn't until we were doing serious photography that we noticed the lovely colours everywhere around town.

I thought this portrait just shows how happy Jason is.
The rote lineup of bridesmaids fixing each other's dress up...
Yummy light illuminating our gorgeous bride...

Holding back tears just before walking down the aisle!!!
Nothing but pure joy when she reached the end of the altar...
Time for portraits!
Great candid caught by our second shooter, Gina!!!
These two are naturals...
Jason proposed to Jan during a trip to Disneyland. The Mouse ears were his idea. I love it!
Somebody's enjoying her ride!
Back to Sun Sui Wah for the tea ceremony and the reception.
Check out the bling!
The toast!
Jason always had a big smile ready for the camera...

Jason's brother and a friend are probably the best reception emcees ever! Everybody was rolling in laughter during Jason's brother's ROAST! Yes, it wasn't a speech, it was a roast... and oh boy, my ears are still ringing with the howls and the bursts of laughter!

We're glad the they agreed to do last minute portraits at the parking lot. One of my faves!

Jason and Jan, thanks for such a wonderful experience. You guys were awesome to work with and we're so excited for you to see the rest of the photos. I hope the cruise was a blast!

Welcome Maddan

Finally, here's our chance to introduce Maddan to you... the cute little boy of Mandy and JB. When we came to their house to start the session, he was just starting to doze off. Apparently, he was well aware that it was going to be a big day so he was quite excited that he hasn't taken a nap the whole day.

Just look at those big adorable eyes...

With mum and dad...

I love this rug. Matches the color of our brand... I want one! Haha!

Mandy was oh-so-glowing!

Halfway through the session, the little man couldn't hold sleep off any longer...

Can't wait to see you again, Maddan! Mum says that you're growing really fast... We'll see you again soon!

Louis + Jennifer *Just Married*

Celebration Pavilion
Seasons in the Park
Queen Elizabeth Park
September 28, 2008

We’re flashing back in time to September 28, 2008 to witness Louis and Jennifer tie the knot! A month earlier, they’ve celebrated with friends and family in Hongkong with a more traditional tea ceremony, the grooms games and a reception. This time around, it’s a beautiful ceremony at Queen Elizabeth’s Celebration Pavilion with a fun celebration at Seasons in the Park. Let’s get on with our photos!

I love the detail on Jennifer's shoes...

Not one, not two, not three, but FOUR dresses!

The unique rings atop the Cathay Pacific model plane...

On to our contemporary but romantic portraits...

Making sure the rings are there...

Waiting...

The cups of tea are ready for the traditional Chinese tea ceremony!

Let's throw in some glamour in our bridal portraits!

The night was perfect!

We had to steal minutes throughout the reception just to get some portraits!

I love how the parents were into the tradition of the garter...

... but it looks like Louis needed some help from Jennifer's sister...

Finally, success!

Toast to the couple's happiness!!

Congratulations, Louis and Jennifer!
