After 7 weeks, our nights are still relatively sleepless. Despite the zombie-like state of existence, our days are filled with effusive moments as we enjoy new "firsts" with our new little angel, Stella Gabrielle. I won't even attempt to put in words what that's like so instead, we'll share a few images of our little darling.
Stella was born on April 5th at 3:40am. Here she is, all 6 pounds, 10 ounces and 19 inches of her being checked out by the pediatricians soon after birth.

We were excited and nervous with the first meeting between our eldest, Mikka and the new baby. It was a good kind of nervous as we were sure that Mikka would welcome her little sister with open arms. I remember one night when I was about 8 months pregnant, Mikka started crying. When I asked her why, she laments, "Why is it taking a long time for the baby to come out?"

In 7 weeks, there have been tonnes of moments like this one. Sometimes, we have to pull Mikka away from Stella to keep her from smothering her with all the hugs and kisses. Mikka just adores Stella!

And here are a few quick portraits of the little one we fondly call, Stellsy. These shots were taken within 10 days of her birth.

Again with Mikka's own portrait. The last shot we were able to take until "the accident" happened which caused us to deem the sheepskin run unusable.

And after the shoot, both mommy and Stella were pooped!
